World Health Organization (WHO) Chronic Disease Report
The report overview provides a brief description of the problem, the solution, and the goal.  This includes:

  • the size of the problem - the high and growing burden of chronic diseases globally, and in certain countries (developed and developing);
  • the widely-held misunderstandings about chronic diseases;
  • the economic impact that chronic diseases have on countries;
  • the programs with which countries can prevent and manage chronic diseases;
  • the kind of policy framework a government can use to improve chronic disease prevention and management;
  • the global goal for reducing death rates from all chronic diseases.
